Buck Wild

On Saturday Canyon was jumping around yelling "buck-a wild!" It was so funny. We are not sure where he learned "buck wild," but he keeps bouncing off our walls and hollering. He is so full of energy and imagination and we love it!

Hand-Me-Downs

Most of Canyon and Trek's clothes have been hand-me-downs, which has been great!

This is one of my favorites. We got it from the Ervien Boys. Canyon wore it and now Trek wears it. And soon it will be heading to Baby Boy Beckman. Gotta love boys.

The Secret Language of Relationships

I have this book called The Secret Language of Relationships. It’s a “complete personology guide to any relationship” using the week you were born. I have enjoyed matching my birth week with others and matching other people I know to see what it has to say. It’s a lot of fun. Sometimes true; sometimes not. But just fun. So when Canyon was born I matched him to me and to Gary. And when Trek was born I did the same and also matched him and Canyon. Canyon and Trek are best at “Friendship;” their relationship strengths are “social, organizational, and humorous.” It also says “…magnetic powers speak well for the harmony between these partners, but even more for the synergy they generate.” I hope this means they will be good friends who laugh a lot together.

Tonight me and my two sweet, sweet, boys were playing in their room. Trek was in my lap and Canyon was building block towers and knocking them down. Trek’s eyes were following Canon wherever he went. Trek was smiling; we were all having a good time. Then suddenly Trek laughed, then laughed some more. It was clear he was laughing at Canyon. Canyon thought that it was pretty cool that baby Trekker was laughing at him so he decided to summon some more giggles. And boy did he. As Canyon was making silly noises and faces in Trek’s face Trek just laughed louder and longer. This made Canyon laugh and of course made me laugh. This was the first time Trek has really laughed, undeniably laughed and it was at his brother. This warms a mama’s heart. Tonight I caught my first glimpse of their “magnetic power” and I have never felt luckier.

Just what I had in mind...

When we added this step last summer I imagined bright colored pots with flowers on each corner. Yesterday my Mom surprised me with a gift and my two corners were complete. I can't decide which is my favorite. I love them both. (Both pots and flowers were gifts from my mama-she knows me well & knew just what I had in mind for my steps).

The Pool

Me and the boys enjoyed a day at the pool with my mom. It was Trek's first time in a pool. He really enjoyed it. But who wouldn't love this pool. Trek just relaxing with Grandma. Me, Canyon, and Trek.

He so was excited to get in the water.
My little fish on the side of the pool. Once he gets in it's full speed; jumping, dunking, kicking, laughing, burping, blowing bubbles; he'll do anything in the water. It is such a joy watching him in the water.

Blessings

On Sunday Baby Trekker was blessed by his Daddy. And what a sweet blessing it was. I am so grateful to watch Trek grow and hope that his life is always blessed. Gary & Trek
