I mustache you a question...

Aren't these the cutest boys you have ever seen?

(Mustache suckers from Uncle Paho. Trek ate half of his before I could grab the camera.)

On the menu

The boys wanted to be Chef's and serve me dinner. Canyon and I first put together a menu of foods they could prepare without my help (I cooked the hot dogs, then left the kitchen). They then went to work and were focused in completely different ways.  Trek was committed to the roll prancing around in his apron with a spatula near his face calling out "dinner is served," or "Chef Brother, is dinner ready?" Canyon was ordering Trek around, setting the table and getting the job done. When dinner was ready I was seated in front of my meal with two sweet boys as my date.  The most delicious thing about dinner were the little ones who prepared it.

San Diego for Dad's 60th

For my Dad's 60th birthday (actually March 23) some of us gathered in San Diego for a sunny, fun filled weekend. We went wale watching, went to the zoo, and made frequent walks to the beach from our rental house. It was a spectacular weekend to celebrate a wonderful Dad.

Class Valentine Party

Canyon's class Valentine Party was so fun! His arrow pencils were a hit and all the sweet Valentines from his classmates still have me smiling.

Let Your Love Shine

(This song is the inspiration behing this years Valentine's)

Bellamy Brothers

Let Your Love Flow

Songwriter: LARRY E. WILLIAMS

There's a reason for the sunshine sky's

There's a reason why I'm feeling so high
Must be the season when that love light shines all around us

So let that feeling grab you deep inside

And send you reeling where your love can't hide

And then go stealing through the moonlit night with your lover

Just let your love flow like a mountain stream

And let your love grow with the smallest of dreams

And let your love show and you'll know what I mean it's the season

Let your love fly like a bird on a wing

And let your love bind you to all living things

And let your love shine and you'll know what I mean that's the reason

There's a reason for the warm sweet nights

And there's a reason for the candle lights

Must be the season when those love lights shine all around us

So let that wonder take you into space

And lay you under it's loving embrace

Just feel the thunder as it warms your face you can't hold back

Just let your love flow like a mountain stream

And let your love grow with the smallest of dreams

And let your love show and you'll know what I mean it's the season

Let your love fly like a bird on a wing

And let your love bind you to all living things

And let your love shine and you'll know what I mean that's the reason

Just let your love flow like a mountain stream

And let your love grow with the smallest of dreams

And let your love show and you'll know what I mean it's the season

Let your love fly like a bird on a wing

And let your love bind you to all living things

And let your love shine and you'll know what I mean that's the reason.

Valentine Projects

Life is busy. We haven't time to craft my favorite things... Valentines. We did make it to Home Depot where the boys made some card holders.  I managed to FORCE Canyon into making Valentines for his class (he can't already dislike this holiday... BOYS). And I managed to squeeze in a banner for the fireplace. I have uncrafted Valentines in my craft closet calling my name but the week ahead seems to be full already so they'll have to wait until next year.
XOXOXOXOXO

Snowboarding

Snowbowl had half price tickets, Canyon had a half day of school, Gary was off, and a recent snowstorm made for good conditions atop our sweet little mountain (less than 10 miles from our house!) Gary was super excited to take Canyon and Trek and I tagged along to watch for a little while. Life has some surreal moments and this was one. Canyon being big enough to strap in to a snowboard and ride down the hit me hard.  (I gulped back a few tears.) And I documented the event: photo style of course. My boy came back tired, a little sunburned, and totally stoked to go again.
