Just so I dont forget...

Let me start off by saying my boys are
RIDICULOUSLY
adorable.
Here is what they have been up to:

Trek:
He crawls super fast. Watch out.
He claps when he is happy.
He loves music and loves to dance.
He waves.
He has six teeth.
He is starting to give kisses. Only giving them up to soft faces (this excludes Gary).
He says mama, dada, na, na, na (no, no, no) & ma (more) and is trying to mimic lots of other words--we're working on Canyon.
He is happy.
He is afraid of strangers and cries when Gary or I leave--it's flattering and heartbreaking.
He is rowdy, and likes to rough house with Gary & Canyon.
He loves food.
He wants to do whatever Canyon is doing and he is determined to do it.

This is what he looks like:

Canyon:

One of his favorite things to do is a "project." This includes painting, coloring, stamping, or anything we can think of.
He loves knifes. Loves them. This is scary. We are learning.
He likes to help cook & clean.
He is learning how to dribble a basket ball.
He randomly, with out prompting shows affection to his brother. Awwwww.
He frequently makes sure Trek has what he needs to be happy. Awwwww again.
He is hilarious. The things he says crack us up on a daily bases.
He continues to have a fantastic imagination. I love this.
He is silly.

Our Valentine's Day

Gary got out of bed before me (and I thought to myself, finally after many Valentine's Days together he realizes how much I love this day). I heard clanking around in the kitchen. After awhile he arrived with a cookie sheet covered in a pink kitchen towel. On top was 4 heart shaped waffles drizzled with strawberry sauce and whip cream. He planted a kiss on my head and handed me breakfast. My heart melted as I devoured my breakfast. Miraculously both boys were still asleep so I had no interruptions during my meal. Eventually both boys woke up and Gary and I exchanged Valentine gifts. We waited to do this until Canyon was awake. He loves presents and claimed to have picked out the gifts. Gary finished making breakfast for everyone else and we spent the rest of the morning playing. Later that evening I made a special dinner for all my boys. The entire day they were all exceptionally sweet. Especially MY Gary. We all went to bed with our hearts full to the brim with LOVE. It couldn't have been better.

P.S. We received some very sweet Valentines from Kyle, Kaydence & Ashley, Auntie Skye & Uncle Mark, Grandma Orina, and Elena. Thanks everyone.

As long as they let me...

As long as they let me I will knit them matching hats and tie-dye them matching shirts. I will dress them the same and tell them they are each other's best friend. I will make them be kind to each other and hug and kiss good night. As long as they let me I will rock them to sleep and let them into my bed in the morning. I will teach them, hug them, kiss them, and love them every moment of every day.
And even when they don't I will do it anyways!

This is what my bed looks like every morning, and I wouldn't trade it for the world

Although, I dream about a full nights sleep and waking up at a reasonable time, I really cherish cuddle time. This is how our nights usually go. Put Canyon to bed, then Trek or the other way around. Trek starts out in his crib then quickly ends up in our bed waking up about every 2 hours to desperately nurse or just pat his tiny hands on my face to make sure I am no more than an inch away from him. I spend the night in some sort of acrobatic position to make sure I don't stir the sleeping baby. Then at about 6 am Canyon scurries across the living room into our bedroom and hops on to Gary's side of the bed. He is still and quite for about 30 seconds. We all find a semi-comfortable position until he eventually wakes us all up. Sometimes Trek is happy to have been woken up, sometimes he is grumpy. I kiss all my boys until they smile, and like I said I wouldn't change it for the world .
