Greetings From Flagstaff

We've been here for a week. We are settling in with only a few boxes to unpack & pictures to hang on the wall. We are homesick and when we close our eyes and think of home we think of Taylor. But we are surrounded by beauty. We are blessed to be in such a sweet little house down a fabulous mountain road. We have hiked or biked every day. We have great neighbors who Canyon absolutely adores (They have a 6 year old girl who he is literally in love with--he regularly tries to sneak over to her house). We are happy to be on this adventure & look forward to what is ahead of us.

~THURSDAYS~

The only day of the week Canyon knows the name of is Thursday. He refers to everyday as Thursday or every eventual happening as Thursday. So as he is referring to things associated with a time frame he says "I will go swimming on Thursday" " I will get a treat on Thursday" "I will poop in the toilet on Thursday" "It's Thursday, let's go to church" "I will clean up on Thursday" and most importantly "Today is Thursday, am I going to Grams?" And my answer to the last question is "Yes, it's Thursday. Today you get to go to Grams all day." He is thrilled when he receives this answer. I work every Thursday and the boys go to my mom's house. Their days are filled with games of imagination, playing outside, nutritious meals, learning to garden & weave, hugs, kisses, swimming, and many, many more activities. On Thursdays Trek doesn't cry when I go to work & Canyon can't wait for the next week. Thursdays are special for all of us.
(We only have 2 Thursdays before the BIG move. Our Y's are broken.)

Just so I don't forget... (in no particular order)

Trek is completely in love with Gram. Can you blame him:

Trek loves to dance. He loves to sing. He loves music.

*
Both boys love to be outside. "Side" & a point to the door is one of the first things Treks wants to do in the morning.

*
They love to brush their teeth or maybe just suck on toothpaste.

*
Canyon continues to have quite a sweet tooth and is always trying to bribe a treat out of me.

*
Canyon can blow up balloons:

Trek loves showers. He tries to rip his clothes off when ever someone is getting in. If he isn't invited to join he will just hurdle himself over the tub wall fully clothed into the shower.
*
Their hair has been bleached by the sun & I am not looking forward to cutting it off.
*
Canyon makes me laugh all day long. I literally can't write it all down.
*
Trek likes glasses:

Canyon thinks every kid he meets is his best friend.
*
Trek still sleeps with us... & still loves to cuddle.
*
Trek gives kisses, is learning lots of new words, & waves good-bye.
*
Canyon is learning to weave:
Trek has decided he likes babies.
*
Trek loves, loves, loves, dogs & pretty much all animals he come in contact with.
*
Canyon has learned to ride a bike with training wheels.
*
Canyon's drawing has taken a leap. He draws people, guitars, popcorn, and many other detailed things.
*
Canyon had his first sleep over with this lovely girl (Kaydence):
