Gary & I went to Vegas for the weekend, just the two of US!! We went to a show, shopped, had dinner with friends, slept in, relaxed by the pool, got room service and savored every minute. It was lovely to have time to ourselves...
... and apple and alligator and Arizona and airplane, and Johnny Appleseed. Canyon had preschool today at our house with 2 friends. Next week he goes to their house. He hasn't talked about anything else today. I think he liked it (and so did I!).
Canyon has acquired a new skill/obsession. Making airplanes. He cannot pass up a piece of paper without folding and flying it across the house (he's used tax documents, homework, magazines, and bills to name a few). He makes at least 20 airplanes a day and is becoming quite the aviation expert. At the end of the day we part with most and he is learning to use the appropriate piles of recycled paper for his masterpieces.
Trek & Canyon have been attacked by mosquito's the past few weeks. Trek got a bite that swelled ridiculously big. It was literally the size of a golf ball on his forehead. The next day the swelling extended to his right eye. (Canyon had the same reaction a few days earlier.) He kept asking for a band aid. Poor baby.
Just because I never brag on my hubby like I should...
Gary's back to school and only has 2 more years to go (the 1st year flew by). He is loving it! He has acquired 2 part time jobs through NAU and has volunteered to be the 1st year Forestry School Delegate. He continues to win over the praise of his teachers and classmates with his outgoing personality and his knowledge. It has been fabulous watching him grow and learn and enjoy this experience.
