You will see the word adventure used a lot in our family outing posts. This is because Canyon refers to our outdoor family time as an ADVENTURE. This includes hiking, camping, biking, etc. and now includes rafting. Gary left a few days before us to raft the Toas Box & I really think Canyon's heart broke into a thousand pieces. He could not believe his Dad would take off on an ADVENTURE with out him. After much tender loving care from Mama and promises that he would soon get a chance to raft the RIO GRAND he managed to make it through the next couple of days talking about the river a million times a day. Both boys loved their short drift down the river & loved camping. I even managed to get a day of white water in with my sweetie (thanks to Skye for babysitting). Gary has quite the collection of gear & has a remarkable eye for the river (i felt completely safe). Here are some photos from the trip in no particular order:
