Adventure Day

Every Saturday for the last little while I have worked so Gary and the boys head out for a fun filled day that they have dubbed "Adventure Day." The all love it and have seen quite a few sites around Flagstaff. Canyon and Trek are certain they have the best Dad in town and are quick to throw on their coats, backpacks, and hiking boots. And I look forward to hearing all about it when they get home. Adventure Day is a tradition I hope they continue and maybe I'll tag along!

Valentine Treats

The boy's sweet Auntie Skye sent them some SWEET Valentine Treats. And making them was even SWEETER! Both boys enjoyed mixing, stirring, pouring, decorating and tasting the pink and red cupcakes. (Thank-you Skye!)

(p.s. Trek ate the tops off ALL the remaining cupcakes today. Something Canyon recognized as an "emergency.")

Trekker's Many Faces

My Baby Blue brings our family so much happiness and is quite expressive. I had the pleasure of catching his sweetness:

Canyon

Is expressing his boredom such as "Mom, I am so bored" or "Mom, this is bored" or "Mom, I am mad because your just bored."
Loves playing Candyland-a gift from Uncle Paho.
Continues to love to read. I often find him in a comfy corner with a book in his hands.
Is growing out of naps. :(
Wants to know where a grown-up is at all times.
Is a Sunbeam and loves it!
Has written Santa about 400 letters since Christmas.
Is totally into SUPERHEROS!
Got his 1st "real" haircut at the barber, which he thought was FANTASTIC!

Trek

Learning lots of new words and putting a few together (marshmallow, play-dough, buzz [lightyear], band-aid, and Mocha (Grams new dog).
Likes to throw things away.
Tells you every time he goes to the bathroom (in his diaper).
Still sleeps in our bed and is the best cuddler.
Dislikes having the camera in his face.
Loves to eat.
Dances every day!
Like to color "babies."
Wants to wear a ball shirt at all times.
Has wild hair and I can't bring myself to cut it.

Snow Ice Cream

Ingredients:

1 bowl of snow

1 splash of orange sprinkles

4 pinches of vanilla

1 dash of nutmeg

4 handfuls of sugar

AND...

the perfect DAD to make it!
