On the menu

The boys wanted to be Chef's and serve me dinner. Canyon and I first put together a menu of foods they could prepare without my help (I cooked the hot dogs, then left the kitchen). They then went to work and were focused in completely different ways.  Trek was committed to the roll prancing around in his apron with a spatula near his face calling out "dinner is served," or "Chef Brother, is dinner ready?" Canyon was ordering Trek around, setting the table and getting the job done. When dinner was ready I was seated in front of my meal with two sweet boys as my date.  The most delicious thing about dinner were the little ones who prepared it.

So much my boys! Canyon in focus, determined, playing the part of "the person, the human, the role model". What is it that a chef does? That is his question. And he strives with all his brave heart to answer it.Trek in character, portraying to the best of his 3-year-ols imagination the look/feel/drama of the concept of chef. How does a chef appear? What is his voice like? His mannerisms? And he strives with all his brave heart to answer those questions. Just as each of my three children were/are amazingly unique in their approach to the world, my four grandsons continue the journey. i am in love.
