Just because I never brag on my hubby like I should...
Gary's back to school and only has 2 more years to go (the 1st year flew by). He is loving it! He has acquired 2 part time jobs through NAU and has volunteered to be the 1st year Forestry School Delegate. He continues to win over the praise of his teachers and classmates with his outgoing personality and his knowledge. It has been fabulous watching him grow and learn and enjoy this experience.

A visit from Cara and her boys...
We crammed 4 little boys in the back seat of Cara's car:
Canyon & Bannon stopped for their mama's in front of a vintage station wagon for a quick pic:
Canyon made sign for the tree house they victoriously climbed. It read: BOYS AND GIRLS ALLOWED CANYON BANNON:
And Trek, Bannon, and Canyon dressed up from the Halloween box:

Things that have made me smile lately...
- Our 12 year old neighbor boy snuck over to our house while I was cooking dinner and swept off our entire sandstone patio.
- Trek and Canyon caught a frog and Trek kissed and hugged it until it leaped away (to safety).
- We went to a public bathroom and Canyon said, "It smells like pneumonia." (He's recovering from pneumonia right now.)
- Our babysitter has returned to flagstaff. We met her and her kids at the park and I was reminded how grateful I am to have her back in town.
- Trek has slept in his bed for nap and bedtime for 6 strait days.
- Trek peed in the toilet and was just a surprised as I was.
- My wildflower garden has it's first blooms.

It takes a village...
To Lyndee & the kids... Thank you for playing hard, having slumber parities, watching movies and jumping until my boys couldn't jump anymore.
To Skye & the Holly's... Thank you for fishing, treats, giving up sleep, movies, and being available at the perfect moment.
To Mom... Thank you for being their home away from home, for being Canyon's definition of summer, for doing projects, having tea parties, building forts, swimming and meeting me more than half way.
To Nicci... Thank you for teaching Canyon to spell his name, going to the park and library, for not watching TV all day, and for falling in love with Treks shoulders.
To Dad... Thank you for making meals, taking naps, going on an adventure to fossil creek, and taking them to swimming lessons.
To Louanne & Gary... Thank-you for returning just in time to watch our boys and give me some rest.
To Canyon & Trek...Thank-you for being so adaptable & resilient, thank-you for packing your bags and being excited for each new week, thank you for being mine and for loving home.
